Collette’s Best of Italy tour exceeded my expectations.
It introduced me to cities I can’t wait to visit again, gave me experiences I probably wouldn’t have arranged on my own, and completely changed the way I think about guided group travel in Italy.
My personal ranking of the three major cities was:
I would happily return to all three, but Florence is the city that truly stole my heart. Between the art, the walkability, and the overall atmosphere, it felt like the kind of place you want to linger a little longer—and start planning your next visit before you even leave.
This trip also inspired me to become certified with Collette so I can help other travelers experience this style of travel. I now understand the value of having hotels, transportation, local guides, sightseeing, and special experiences thoughtfully arranged—while still having time built in to explore on your own.
Would I travel with Collette again?
Absolutely. In fact, I’m already planning to take their Southern Italy and Sicily tour in 2028.
This trip showed me that group travel doesn’t have to feel restrictive or impersonal. It can make visiting a new country easier, less stressful, more social, and even more memorable—especially when the itinerary includes experiences you may never discover on your own.
